The new CabĀiĀnet has been givĀen time to deĀcide its poĀsiĀtion on a lawĀsuit brought by forĀmer CenĀtral Bank govĀerĀnor Jwala RamĀbarĀran seekĀing inĀforĀmaĀtion relĀaĀtive to his terĀmiĀnaĀtion by the forĀmer govĀernĀment in 2015.
AfĀter he was fired by the then-CabĀiĀnet based on the adĀvice of forĀmer fiĀnance minĀisĀter Colm ImĀbert, RamĀbarĀran sought the inĀforĀmaĀtion unĀder the FreeĀdom of InĀforĀmaĀtion Act (FOIA), which he claimed he needĀed to purĀsue a wrongĀful disĀmissal case.
