THE Ministry of Finance has suffered defeat in another challenge it brought to the Appeal Court—this time over the firing of Jwala Rambarran as Central Bank governor.
The latest defeat took place yesterday afternoon in which the State challenged the 2023 ruling of a High Court judge who directed that Rambarran be awarded $5.47 million in compensation for his alleged wrongful dismissal.
