A 24-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of his gold chains in Diego Martin on Friday evening.
The victim, who had just finished getting his hair combed, was walking along Mason Street around 7:05 p.m. when two men emerged from a nearby track and approached him. The suspects attempted to take the two gold chains he was wearing, valued at $24,000.
During the struggle, one suspect, armed with a cutlass, announced a holdup, while the other, armed with a knife, swung at the victim, causing an injury to the palm of his right hand. The first suspect then grabbed the victim’s chains and attempted to pull them over his head, injuring his upper lip.
