A man was injured early Saturday morning during a robbery with violence opposite High Setters Bar along the Southern Main Road, Vance River, La Brea.
According to police reports, around 1:30 a.m., three men of African descent approached the victim while he was liming outside the bar. Two of the suspects, both approximately 5ft 8in, slim built, with braided hairstyles, were wearing dark clothing and ski masks. The third suspect, also about 5ft 8in and slim built with a low haircut, wore a red and black long-sleeve “Polo” jersey and black jeans, and was unmasked. All three were armed with objects resembling firearms.
The men demanded that the victim hand over his gold jewellery, including a Gucci chain valued at $100,000 and a gold slave band valued at $20,000. During the scuffle, the victim felt a burning sensation in his right foot as one of the suspects reportedly shouted, “He looking for me to shoot he.” All three suspects then through Murray Street, alongside the bar.
