Police are investigating a house breaking and larceny at an apartment in Oropune Gardens, Piarco, on Tuesday.

Around 5 a.m. the resident secured her home before leaving for work. She returned at 2:30 p.m. to find her apartment had been broken into.

Among the items reported stolen were a fridge ($13,000), two washing machines ($23,000), a dryer ($7,000), a microwave, toaster oven, blender, kitchen wares, processor, stereo system, coffee table, dining room set, television, vacuum cleaner, curtains, bed linens, iron, and bed frame. The total value is yet to be fully determined.
