Trinidad and Tobago and VenezÂuela have agreed to establish a joint commission aimed at breaking years of diplomatic and technical inertia and advancing cooperation on key issues affecting both countries.
Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Sean Sobers said the technical working team will allow both governments to identify priorities and begin delivering on mutually agreed areas in the interest of their people.
In a telephone interview with the Express yesterday, Sobers said the commission will address issues spanning several ministries, incluÂding matters that had been left âdormant and untouchedâ long before the United National Congress (UNC) administration took office last year.
