The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) conducted 426 anti-crime and road safety operations across all ten Police Divisions over the Divali weekend. The exercises took place between 6 a.m. on Thursday 16th October, 2025, and 6 a.m. on Tuesday 21st October, 2025.
According to the TTPS, the operations resulted in six firearm seizures, including three rifles, along with 176 rounds of assorted ammunition. Officers also seized 77.39 kilogrammes of cannabis and 386.8 grammes of cocaine.
During the period, 2,881 vehicle and premises searches were conducted, while 282 road traffic operations were carried out. Police detected 2,042 road traffic offences, targeted 113 priority offenders, and arrested 161 persons.
