The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has arrested seven suspects and cleared 12 criminal cases during an ongoing anti crime exercise aimed at protecting vulnerable individuals.
The exercise, dubbed Operation Beacon, began at 9 am on Monday December 29, 2025, and is scheduled to continue until 9 am on Friday January 2, 2026. Police say the operation targets offences against women and children and forms part of wider efforts to address serious crime across Trinidad and Tobago.
According to the TTPS, the operation resulted in arrests and charges for offences ranging from sexual assault to kidnapping and robbery. In total, police cleared 12 cases during the exercise.
