A 36-year-old security officer was robbed of his firearm, ammunition, and other valuables while on his way to lodge the weapon at the Arouca police station on Tuesday evening.
According to police, around 6:15 p.m, the officer, who is employed with Safe Time Protection Services, had just completed his shift and was walking along Joyeau Street, Curepe, heading toward the Priority Bus Route.
He told investigators that he had intended to travel to the Arouca Police Station to deposit his service weapon when the incident occurred.
