Investigations are under way into the theft of a prison officer’s gun from his car at Caura River on Thursday.
Police said the officer parked his Toyota Aqua on the road near Pond 2 at around 12.45 pm and went for a swim.
He returned hours later at around 3 pm and noticed the front left side window broken and his service issued M&P 2.0 pistol with 15 rounds of 9 mm ammunition missing from the glove compartment.
