A 43-year-old man was robbed at his home Monday night after three masked men forced their way inside, police confirmed.
The victim had just arrived at his home on Paul Street Extension, Sangre Grande around 10:45 p.m. and locked the front door when he heard smashing sound minutes later. The men, dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered, broke in and approached him, one of them armed with a revolver.
The intruders demanded cash and valuables, taking approximately $5,000 in cash from a cup, $300 from the victim’s pants, keys to his vehicle, a yellow Samsung A55 cellphone valued at $2,650, and an Amazon Fire tablet valued at $650. They ransacked the living room and bedroom before attempting to start the victim’s car, but were unsuccessful.
