The Senate was yesterday adjourned to a date to be fixed after meeting for just under an hour.
Leader of Government Business in the Senate Darrell Allahar did not provide any clear explanation as to why this occurred.
Justice Minister Devesh Maharaj piloted the Victims’ Rights Bill, following which Allahar moved the adjournment of the Upper House to a date to be fixed.
