OPPOSITION LEADER Pennelope Beckles is still 'gathering facts' on the matter involving embattled Opposition Senator Janelle John-Bates.

This according to Opposition Chief Whip Marvin Gonzales, during a news conference yesterday at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, Charles Street, Port of Spain.

John-Bates assisted former health minister Terrence Deyalsingh in reviewing and editing his witness statement ahead of his appearance before the Public Accounts and Appropriations Committee (PAAC).
