A man was beaten and robbed of $21,000 worth of jewellery in a brazen daylight attack in Port of Spain on Monday.
Police said the victim, ofTunapuna, was attacked around 1.30 p.m. as he returned to his vehicle parked in the Salvatori carpark at the corner of Frederick Street and Independence Square.
According to reports, as he entered the carpark, he was approached from behind by two young men who struck him, causing him to fall to the ground.
