Cuban man stabbed to death at Land of Canaan shipyard

A 37-year-old Cuban national was fatally stabbed during an altercation at a shipyard at Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara, on Saturday night.

Dead is Luis Angel Rodriguez Guillen, who was employed at the shipyard.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 23:00h on Saturday, after Guillen and a 32-year-old Cuban national, who also works at the shipyard, became involved in an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation.
