Cuban national dies after being struck by high-pressure hose at construction site

(Kaieteur News) – A 25-year-old Cuban national died on Friday after being struck in the head by a high-pressure hose that swung out of control at a construction site in Providence, East Bank Demerara.

Dead is Yuviosmar Galindo Cardona.

Police say the incident occured around 09:45hrs. According to preliminary investigations, Cardona was operating a high-pressure hose attached to a cement machine when he lost control of it. The hose swung back and struck him in the head.
