A Cuban national was crushed to death by a container at the Muneshwers shipping terminal at Houston, Greater Georgetown.
The dead man has been identified as 23-year-old construction worker, Alex Jesús González Beria, of Canal No. 1, West Bank Demerara.
While details surrounding the incident remain unclear, reports reaching this newspaper indicates that the young man was reportedly lying at the container terminal unknown to others. It is believed that operators unknowingly stacked containers onto him.
