Cuban found dead under container at Muneshwers terminal

(Kaieteur News) – A 23-year-old Cuban national was found dead on Monday beneath a container at the Muneshwers Shipping Terminal at Houston, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

The man has been identified as Alex Jesús González Beria. Reports reaching Kaieteur News indicate that González Beria may have been crushed by the container. However, police have not yet confirmed the circumstances surrounding his death.

The company has also not responded to queries about the incident. Meanwhile, Kaieteur News understands that an investigation has been launched by the relevant authorities and other stakeholders to determine exactly how the tragedy occurred.
