“TWO traitors” triggered the floor-crossing amendment in the proposed Municipal Corporations (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
That was the view of Siparia Mayor Doodnath Mayrhoo who was speaking to the media outside Parliament on Wednesday prior to debate on the bill.
“As you know, this amendment was triggered by what transpired in the Siparia Borough Corporation with Jason Ali and alderman Victor Roberts; those two traitors who crossed the floor and went across to the PNM,” Mayrhoo said.
