(Kaieteur News) – Five masked men, four of whom were allegedly armed with what appeared to be firearms, entered a hardware store on Public Road, La Grange, West Bank Demerara and carted off with $23M in cash on Friday night.
According to a statement by the Guyana Police Force, the incident occurred at about 18:20hrs.
A 29-year-old Chinese national and businessman told police that the suspects entered the building, held three Chinese nationals hostage and removed the cash which was kept under a bed.
