A long gunman carried out a brazen daylight robbery at a business place at Tuschen, East Bank, Essequibo (EBE), on Monday, carting off with $1,340,000 in cash. Police stated that a 26-year-old cashier of Tuschen, EBE, had opened the establishment for business when a male entered and requested an online top-up.
While the cashier was conducting the transaction, the suspect allegedly held her at gun point and instructed her not to make any noise. He then proceeded to the back of the counter and removed the cash.
The suspect subsequently exited the establishment and escaped on a waiting motorcycle with an accomplice. Police stated that several persons were questioned, and CCTV footage is being reviewed as investigations continue.
