Lone thief escapes Chinese employees during attempted robbery at Garden of Eden

(Kaieteur News) – A lone thief managed to escape two Chinese drivers on Tuesday during an attempted burglary at RZ&D Concrete, located at Garden of Eden, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

Speaking with Kaieteur News an employee of the company related that the incident occurred around 02:30hrs. while all workers were asleep.

It is alleged that the lone thief who tried to hide his identity with a jersey wrapped around his head and face was targeting the finance department but ended up breaking into the living quarters of the company’s drivers. He reportedly broke into a room where two Chinese drivers were sleeping. They were reportedly startled out of their sleep but after realising that an intruder was in their room “they tackled him”, the employee said.
