THE officers involved in the fatal shooting of Joshua Samaroo have been moved from their policing unit, as investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
Senior police officers confirmed with the Express that the officers were no longer operating “on the field” and were not interfacing with the public.
On Thursday, Samaroo’s relatives formally called for an independent investigation into his death, accusing the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) of systemic bias, lack of transparency, and breaches of constitutional and international standards.
