Protesters have called on Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro to resign in the wake of their response to the killing of 31-year-old Joshua Samaroo and the shooting of his wife, Kaia Sealy.
“I am pleading with the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, if you would like any semblance of respect and integrity to remain within your Government, call for the Commissioner of Police to step down and your Minister of Homeland Security,” said Alyssa Phillip, a co-organiser of the protest held yesterday outside the Red House, along Abercromby Street, Port of Spain, in an interview with the Express.
