AN ATTORNEY representing the interests of Joshua Samaroo, shot and killed by police last month have requested almost all reports from police relating to the incident that also left Samaroo’s common-law wife, Kaia Sealy partially paralysed.
Using the Freedom of Information Act, Attorney Christon J Williams in a letter addressed to Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander requested information such as ballistic reports, station diary extracts and names of all of the officers involved in the January 20 incident.
The incident in question reportedly began as an attempt to intercept a Toyota Aqua in Maloney. Its driver allegedly sped off and led pursuing police on a chase along the westbound lane of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway which ended at Bassie Street Extension, Spring Village, Valsayn.
