Outrage erupted at the Port of Spain Licensing Office yesterday after senior citizens, who had been in line for hours, were told they would not be processed and must return another day.

What many described as a total breakdown of the system left citizens frustrated, angry, and feeling oppressed in the 21st century.

The chaotic scene unfolded around 11 a.m. at the Wrightson Road office, where I was present to renew a Class 4 driver’s permit.
