Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander has condemned the daylight slaughter of Amelia Hernandez and her husband, Devaughn Toussaint, in front his child, describing it as an “ungodly act”.
He also took umbrage with Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles, saying the blood of the victims was on her hands.
He criticised both the People’s National Movement (PNM) and the Independent Bench for shutting down the Zones of Special Operations (ZOSO) legislation, which he said would have given police more powers to deal with criminal elements.
