Camille backs Rowley, blasts Govt outrage

Opposition MP for Trincity/Maloney Camille Robinson-Regis yesterday defended the use of the word âjametteâ by former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley to desÂcribe current Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
âLet us not pretend that political discourse in Trinidad and Tobago suddenly descended into harshness overnight. Those now expressing outrage seem to have very short memories,â she wrote in a Facebook post.
The PNM Womenâs League has not condemned Rowley for his use of the derogatory term to describe the Prime Minister.
