A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with a violent kidnapping and robbery last Friday, but authorities were left puzzled by the serious injuries he reportedly sustained prior to his arrest.
The incident occurred around 8:50p.m near Library Corner, San Fernando, when a 40-year-old woman entered what she believed was a taxi.
The driver allegedly took her onto Shore of Peace Road, South Oropouche, and demanded money and personal belongings. The victim handed over a cell phone and wallet, then struggled with the suspect before escaping unharmed.
