A 27-year-old woman was kidnapped at knifepoint from her home in Victoria Village, San Fernando, on Thursday and forced to drive her attacker to a bank before he fled with her car. Police have since arrested a suspect and recovered the stolen vehicle and other items.
The victim told police she was lying in her bedroom around 11:30 a.m. when a masked man, armed with a cutlass, entered her home through an open door. The intruder demanded cash, but when none was available, he stole her iPhone 14, valued at $7,000) and a Samsung phone, valued at $2,000.
The man then took her bank card and keys to her white Toyota AquA and forced her to drive him to the Republic Bank car park at Gulf View. Once there, he ordered her to withdraw money from the ATM. Instead, she raised an alarm inside the bank.
