Political analyst Prof Hamid Ghany has described Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s realignment of ministerial portfolios as a “more creative way of running the Government”, saying it shifts responsibilities while keeping Ministers in their substantive posts.
“This is a more creative way of running the Government as it leaves Ministers in place in their Ministries and shifts around duties underneath the generic titles of their Ministries,” Ghany said in response to questions from the Express.
He said the approach represented a departure from the traditional Cabinet reshuffle, where Ministers themselves are moved among ministries.
