Police in the Couva district are investigating a daylight robbery at a home in Carli Bay Extension on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, around 1.15 p.m. the 66-year-old victim was at her Palm Avenue residence when a grey Toyota Aqua drove into her yard. Two men exited the vehicle, entered the house and announced a robbery, causing the victim to fear for her life.
The suspects reportedly led her into the living room, where they robbed her of a quantity of gold jewellery, the value of which is yet to be determined, along with $400 in cash. The two men then fled the scene in the same vehicle in an unknown direction.
