A 72-year-old pensioner was the victim of a home burglary in Barrackpore in the early hours of Thursday.

The woman had secured her home on Wednesday night.

Around 3:30 a.m., she was awakened by a noise and discovered a man inside her bedroom. The suspect, described as approximately six feet tall, slim-built, with brown skin, and wearing headphones around his neck, had entered through a window of her room.
