Relatives of a man fatally shot by police in his home are raising serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding the confrontation, questioning the police officers use of deadly force.
Shivnath Jogie, 45, a labourer, was pronounced dead at the hospital after he was shot in a confrontation with police at his home on Old Train Line in Corinth in the early hours of Sunday.
Initial police reports indicate that officers went to investigate a physical altercation between Jogie and a neighbour, who was chopped in Jogie's yard with a cutlass.
