Residents of La Romaine awoke to gunfire yesterday as two men were killed in a confrontation with police officers at a house in the community.

The fatal police-involved shooting occurred at a property on Ashley Street, off Pond Street, while officers were conducting an anti-crime exercise targeting firearm offences, robberies and home invasions in the San Fernando police district.
