(Kaieteur News) – The 20-year-old police constable who was fingered in the murder of Cuban national Dailen Paneque Gomes has been remanded to prison after being formally charged in connection with the crime.
Randy Thomas was on Monday, June 29, hauled before His Worship Magistrate Teriq Mohamed at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court, where the indictable charge of murder, contrary to common law, was read to him. He was not required to plead and was subsequently remanded to prison.
The matter has been adjourned to July 21, 2026.
