Elderly Lethem teacher charged, fined for DUI

Kaieteur News – A 71-year-old teacher of Tabatinga, Lethem, Central Rupununi, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while breath alcohol level exceeded the prescribed limit.

Roderick George appeared before Magistrate Nikkisha Logan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him.

The offense was reportedly committed last Monday on the Tabatinga Public Road, Lethem.
