Two women who pleaded guilty to the offences of unlawful wounding and assault causing actual bodily harm were on Tuesday sentenced to three months’ imprisonment and fined $30,000 each.
Terizita Parks, 19, of Bonfim, Brazil, and Tabatinga, Lethem, Central Rupununi, and Camille James, 26, of Tabatinga, Lethem, appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court, where the charges were read to them separately.
However, they both pleaded guilty and were each fined $30,000, with three months’ imprisonment in default of payment for assault causing actual bodily harm.
