PRIME MINISTER Kamla Persad-Bissessar disclosed yesterday that the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) maintained what she described as a 'protected list' of individuals whose electricity supply could not be disconnected.
She alleged that the list included former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley, Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles and several other members of the People's National Movement (PNM).
In a statement to Parliament, Persad-Bissessar said the matter came to the Government's attention during its review of issues surrounding Flavorite Foods Ltd, the company chaired by former PNM treasurer Andre Monteil.
