A man was robbed of his vehicle and other valuables after giving a lift to an acquaintance in Diego Martin on Saturday night.

According to police, the victim arrived at the Four Roads Police Station and reported that around 11 p.m. he was driving along Tragarete Road, Port of Spain, when he decided to give a man he knew only as “Steven” a lift to Union Road, Four Roads, Diego Martin, in his silver Mitsubishi Sportero.

Police said that while proceeding along Cuthbert Circular, Four Roads, the passenger asked the victim to slow down so that a relative could open the gate to his home. At that point, two men dressed in dark-coloured clothing and wearing bandanas over their faces entered the vehicle. The victim observed that one of the men was armed with a firearm.
