A Petit Valley resident was beaten and robbed of his vehicle and other valuables after being lured to Maraval by a man he had communicated with on social media.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday.

The victim, a resident of Majuba Cross Roads, drove to the Royal Castle car park on Saddle Road, Maraval, to meet a man with whom he had previously interacted via Instagram.
