A 25-foot fishing pirogue loaded with Venezuelan nationals, including young children, overturned in the waters between their homeland and Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday night.
Venezuelan authorities say 15 persons have been rescued. And a search is ongoing by members of the Bolivarian Navy of Venezuela are assisting in the search for the missing persons, including a one-year-old baby girl.
The child was in her mother's arms on the boat when it was hit by a giant wave, authorities said.
