PRIME Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has promised that her Government will take urgent steps to address the economic hardships facing working-class families, assuring citizens that “help is not just coming—it is here”.
In her Labour Day message yesterday, the Prime Minister acknowledged the struggles many are facing amid rising cost of living and economic uncertainty.
“I know that many of our workers are struggling,” she said. “Too many of you are still lining up at the grocery counter, having to decide what to put back. Too many are watching your bills pile up, wondering how you will make ends meet.”
