Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has urged citizens to “hold strain”, assuring that “better days” are ahead under her United National Congress (UNC) Government.
Persad-Bissessar accounted to the people for her Government’s first year in office at the party’s congress meeting in Couva yesterday, where she also promised that more jobs are on the way.
Dressed in the party’s signature yellow, she walked through a thick crowd, greeting people (which she estimated at between 17,000 and 20,000 people, citing police figures) as she made her way to the stage.
