Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing two dar­ing bur­glar­ies in Siparia and Bar­rack­pore, which led to thou­sands of dol­lars in cash, jew­ellery, and equip­ment stolen over Thurs­day night and Fri­day morn­ing.

In Siparia, staff at Sky Pâtis­serie at De Gannes Vil­lage ar­rived Fri­day morn­ing to find the doors forced open and the premis­es ran­sacked. In­ves­ti­ga­tors said ap­prox­i­mate­ly $15,000 in cash and a grey Hon­ey­well brief­case con­tain­ing $3,500 were miss­ing. Of­fi­cers re­port­ed that the point of en­try and ex­it was a small 3x3 ven­ti­la­tion fan on the side of the build­ing.

Siparia Po­lice, in­clud­ing PC Austin and PC Ram­per­sad, ar­rived at the scene, in­ter­viewed wit­ness­es, and re­viewed CCTV footage. Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors processed the site, but no work­able fin­ger­prints were re­cov­ered.
