FORMER police commissioner Gary Griffith has dismissed comments made by former finance minister Colm Imbert criticising the use of the Chaguaramas Heliport for the Stink + Dutty Carnival fete on Saturday. He described Imbert’s statements as ill-informed.
In a statement yesterday, Griffith accused Imbert of venturing outside his expertise and undermining the professional judgment of national security officials who approved the event.
“Colm Imbert was a disaster dealing with the finances of the country, yet now he is pretending to be an expert in fete organising and on the security of our nation,” Griffith said.
