Opposition attorneys have written to the Office of the Procurement Regulator calling for a probe into the procurement process for the construction and preparation of the 30 sites for joint army-police posts across the country.

The complaint, dated August 7, 2026, was filed by former People’s National Movement (PNM) government minister, attorney Randall Mitchell on behalf of activist Wendell Eversley, with Senior Counsel and Opposition MP Stuart Young instructing on the client’s behalf.

A copy of a page 3 Express article, “Row erupts over police post”, dated August 7, was attached to the letter and cited in support of the complaint.
