The Opposition People’s National Movement (PNM) believes the Government is attempting to use agencies such as the recently-established LandmarkTT Properties Ltd to repay party financiers using taxpayers’ money.
Malabar/Mausica MP Dominic Romain raised a question yesterday at a news conference at the Office of the Opposition Leader, Port of Spain.
He said there was a need to monitor procurement under the Government, asking if some large State projects including for public housing were to be used to pay those who would have funded the United National Congress’ (UNC) 2025 general election campaign.
