Police are investigating the theft of a quantity of cash from an Arima restaurant when bandits blocked the path of the vehicle transporting the cash on Saturday night.
Police said the driver was transporting the money in a can on the Caroni North Bank Road, Mausica, at around 11.30 pm when bandits in a silver car overtook the van and blocked its path.
Two bandits got out of the car and fired shots at the van before opening the driver's side door, grabbing a pouch containing g $6,003 which represented the day's sales for the restaurant.
