Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath says a review is now under way to determine the status of all schools, which began under the previous People’s Partnership government and had never been completed.
Listed among those schools is the Reform (SDMS) Hindu Primary School, near Gasparillo, which was being constructed within sight of the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
Construction began in April 2014 signalling hope for the community, and for the hundreds of students, parents and staff who had been calling for an end to cramped classrooms.
